A Fairytale Château Wedding in France | Michael & Erich at Château de Saint-Martin-du-Tertre

Some love stories feel as though they were always destined to happen. Michael and Erich’s is one of them.

Having met online when neither of them were particularly looking for anything serious, they quickly discovered that their lives had been quietly intertwined long before they ever exchanged that first message. They had attended the same small private school just a few years apart, shared mutual connections through friends, and even had ties to the same hometown. It’s the kind of story that feels almost cinematic, as though fate had patiently been waiting until the timing was finally right. And from that very first date, they have rarely spent a night apart since.

Their wedding celebration at Château de Saint-Martin-du-Tertre felt every bit as magical as their story.

Planned beautifully by Dream Paris Weddings and captured by Catalin Vutcariov, the couple invited their closest family and friends to travel from New York City to the city of Paris for a weekend that was filled with love, laughter, and the most incredible sense of togetherness.

The celebrations began the evening before the wedding with an intimate welcome gathering inside the château. Arriving at Château de Saint-Martin-du-Tertre for the first time was one of those moments that truly takes your breath away. Set just outside of Paris, it is exactly the kind of venue people dream of when they imagine a château wedding. Grand yet romantic, elegant yet inviting, it felt like stepping into a fairytale.

As guests arrived, they were welcomed with cocktails, grazing stations, and an evening of heartfelt speeches. The atmosphere was relaxed and joyful, allowing everyone to settle into the celebrations ahead of the big day. Friends and family who had travelled across the world came together beneath the château's beautiful interiors, sharing stories, laughter, and excitement for what was to come.

The following morning, the château was bathed in glorious sunshine as wedding preparations began. One of the most special parts of the day was seeing Michael and Erich get ready together. It's something we don't see often, but it felt so perfectly special. Rather than spending the morning apart, they chose to experience every moment side by side, sharing champagne, laughing together, and soaking in the anticipation of the day ahead. There was something incredibly moving about watching them simply enjoy being together before everything began.

As they finished getting ready, their Cartier wedding bands sat waiting patiently in their iconic red box, ready for the next chapter of their story to begin.

Guests gathered outside with the magnificent château providing the most breathtaking backdrop to the ceremony. In one of the most heartfelt moments of the day, both Michael and Erich walked down the aisle alongside their mothers. It was such a warm and emotional entrance, filled with love and pride from every direction.

Their ceremony was led by a close friend, which added an incredibly personal touch to the entire experience. Every word felt meaningful, every story felt intentional, and there were certainly more than a few tears shed amongst guests as Michael and Erich exchanged their vows. It was the kind of ceremony that reminds everyone exactly what weddings are truly about.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails, canapés, and live music in the sunshine whilst exploring the beautiful grounds of the château. The atmosphere felt effortless and joyful as everyone celebrated together before making their way inside for dinner.

The reception took place in the château's grand salon, where guests were treated to an exquisite four-course dining experience. As the evening unfolded, speeches filled the room with both laughter and emotion, creating those moments that become memories long after the wedding day itself has passed.

And then the party began.

Michael and Erich are, quite simply, the life and soul of every room they walk into, and they certainly know how to throw a celebration.

The evening opened with guests gathering outside welcoming the couple with a tunnel of sparklers before a champagne tower set the tone for the festivities ahead. As if that wasn't enough, the night sky was illuminated by the most spectacular fireworks display, creating a truly unforgettable moment and signalling that the celebrations were only just getting started.

What followed was one of the most energetic dance floors I have ever experienced.

From the very first song until the final moments of the evening, the dance floor never seemed to empty. Every guest was fully immersed in the celebration, dancing, singing, and soaking up every second alongside Michael and Erich. The joy was completely contagious. There was so much warmth in the room, so much genuine happiness for this incredible couple, and it was impossible not to feel swept up in it all.

It was a wedding filled with heart from beginning to end. A celebration that perfectly blended elegance and fun, emotion and excitement, intimacy and grandeur. Most of all, it was a reflection of two people whose love story feels beautifully meant to be.
